The Thai Snow Hybrid Ixora is a somewhat rare and lesser know ixora species from Thailand that has some really nice features and can be used in many interesting ways to brighten up lightly shaded beds and texture.

The leaves are small, rounded ovals with lightly ruffled edges.  The leaves grow dense and tight on a small compact bush that will mature at no more than about 2 feet tall and range from being lightly swirled and mottled with cream on the old growth to being nearly completely creamy white lightly dusted with emerald green on the new growth.  The flower heads are made up of tiny star-shaped florets in white to near white.  Flowers begin to appear in the mid to late summer and continue until early fall.  This one does not bloom as prolifically and is not as showy as many of the other ixoras making the variegated leaves its best and most interesting feature.

The Thai Snow Hybrid Ixora is a somewhat lower and slower grower than the others of the species making it well suited for a low growing hedge rows, accents, or additions to sculpted, layered beds or mixed perennials and can also be grown as a potted plants indefinitely. The Thai Snow Hybrid Ixora is especially well suited for permanent potted culture, as a bedding plant in lightly shaded areas or can be grown as a house plant with supplemental lighting.
