Walter's Viburnum is dense upright large shrub to small tree that is Native to the southeastern American coastal plain from South Carolina through central Florida and Alabama. It is generally found growing in moist acidic soil along river and creek banks or near swamps.
It can reach mature heights above 20', but 10' to 15' is most common and height is very manageable with annual pruning.

Walter's Viburnum is a profuse and showy bloomer with clusters of tiny 5 petaled flowers covering the bushes for several weeks in the mid to late Spring. It will frequently throw scattered bloom again in the fall. New growth is an attractive red bronze color and is covered with a soft brown fuzz. Flowers are followed by a small red berry that mature to black in the late summer and are attractive to birds.

Our cultivar, generally called 'Walter's Grande' was selected for it's full dense growth habit and profuse flowering.
It's a great choice for screens, buffers, habitats or as a single specimen.
