So far as we know, White Dainty or LaFrance is the only absolutely pure white Tropical Hibiscus (Hibiscus) where both the flower and pistil are pure white.

The flowers are small by hibiscus standards, about 3 inches in diameter, and will appear all along the stem and not just at the terminal ends. What they lack in size they make up for in form and quantity. The small clean, cool, classic and pristine white pinwheel blossoms are present in abundance throughout the summer, and seem to float all around the plant, and accounts for it sometimes being called the Butterfly Hibiscus.

White Dainty has a rigid upright habit, with small oval leaves that grow tight to the stems, so it makes strong, small, patio trees with lollipop type heads, or can be grown as a multi-stemmed, small tree like shrub, and is attractive in hedge form as a boundary or background planting. Unpruned it will reach a heights of about 6 feet.
