Jean Bach is a lovely old China/Bengal rose introduced in 1889 by French rose breeder Francis Dubreuil, and is a really sweet and rewarding old heirloom rose that requires little care or maintenance.

It produces a bounty of dainty, very feminine, pointed buds in perfect miniature hybrid tea form in shades of silvery pink.

The lovely, pointed buds open over a period of about 3 to 5 days ending in a loose fully 'blown'  form, exposing the lovely yellow stamens on the 4th  or 5th day, but the offset to their short life is that fragrance remains, and even intensifies a bit as the bloom ages.   The stems are long enough for use in cut flower arrangements, and the sweet fragrance lingers even after they are cut from the bush.   It is a nearly perpetual repeat bloomer.  Well-tended plants will bloom throughout most of the year in temperate climates.   Peak bloom is in the Spring and Fall in tropical and semi-tropical climates.  Color is the most intense in cool weather.

Jean Bach Sisley is a tough, resilient, easy-to-grow, low-maintenance rose; needing only fertile soil, regular watering,  and modest feeding and pruning to thrive.   The bush grows relatively short and full, so it is well suited for hedges and mass plantings.   It is remarkably low maintenance, requiring no more than minimal turning after flowering and regular watering to remain full, lush, and in flower.
