Jean-Claude Ducher was a prominent French rose breeder, and 'Ducher' is one of the very few white China roses, making it quite distinct within its class.
The most striking feature of the Ducher Rose is its abundant, fruity-scented, medium-sized, double flowers. They are typically very pale yellow to creamy white, with an occasional hint of delicate pastel pink on the outer petals, especially in the bud stage. The buds are very rounded with a tightly wrapped, spiraled, classic tea shapes that quickly unfurl into dense, rounded double blooms that last for a few days, but appear in abundance in repeating cycles beginning in mid-spring until late fall.
Flowers are borne at the terminal ends of branches from a compact, rounded, fine-stemmed bush that grows smaller than many other China roses, making it suitable for various landscape applications.
