Callistemon pallidus or Lemon Yellow Bottlebrush is yet another quirky member of the myrtle plant family. These stunning shrubs add visual interest to the landscape even when they aren't full of blooms with elegant, slender branches and long grey hued leaves.

As you might imagine, bottlebrush is named for the resemblance its flowers bear to those soft bristled brushes used to keep baby bottles clean. Lemon Yellow Bottlebrush can be expected to reach approximately 9 feet in height and about 6 feet in width. This plant's growth habit lends it to a willowy canopy that extends from the top of the tree to drape down and provide cover. This easy-going growth habit means that these trees require little to no maintenance to reach their full beauty.

Unlike most of our tropical plants, bottlebrush can withstand some levels of frost it should, however, be covered or brought inside if a hard freeze or sustained cold temperatures are expected.
