Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Southern or Confederate Jasmine is a popular, intensely fragrant, and easy to grow spring blooming vine. This plant is a new variation of what has been among the best loved and most versatile landscape plants across the South, literally for centuries, making it a true heirloom. It has graced the walls and pathways of castles, and cottages alike for many decades.

Pink Showers is a newly introduced cultivar that produces very pale pink flowers that fade to white and has a longer blooming period than the white type, typically beginning in the mid to late spring and lasting til early fall in sub-tropical to tropical climates, but lacks the intense sweet fragrance of the white type.

This beautiful vine is actually not a jasmine at all. It is a different species that is just commonly called a jasmine because of the shape of the flowers and fragrance of the white one. The pink is not fragrant.
The slender wiry stems will quickly intertwine and climb to cover fences, trellises, or any support or structure that is nearby.

This is a wonderful plant for a beginning gardener, as it establishes quickly and is amazingly easy to care for. It is tolerant of most any soil that drains well, and is quite drought tolerant once it is well established, making it a good choice for outlying areas.

Condition: This product is one (1) young, starter-sized plant intended for a gardener to grow to its mature size. You may expect a starter-size plant to be well-rooted, have a root zone of approximately 4 inches in diameter, be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall, and have no blooms or buds on arrival. It may be shipped with or without a pot, as appropriate.
