Crossandra infundibuliformis or Firecracker Flower is a winner of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for its easygoing nature and vibrant flowers. During the warm season, Crossandra appears to continually boast bright asymmetric clustered flowers in shades of apricot, orange, and peach. An incredibly versatile plant, Firecracker Flower will thrive from areas with dappled shade to those with bright light.

Firecracker Flower can be a bit of a misnomer for this plant as the name actually has nothing to do with its flowers at all. Near the end of the season, Crossandra will develop seed pods that grow until full and then explode to shower the surrounding area in seeds on a warm windy day. The prolific reproduction method makes Crossandra ideal for areas where it can run wild, but it is also easily confined by pruning seed pods away before they rupture.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant with an approximate 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping.
