Colocasia Pharaoh's Mask is an exceedingly rare collectible aroid due to is striking dark veined leaves with a unique curling structure. As with many prized cultivars, the Pharaoh's Mask colocasia has a rather unique origin story. Aroid collector Hayes Jackson was propagating and distributing another colocasia variety known as Dark Star when the mutation that gave rise to Pharaoh's Mask appeared.

Pharaoh's Mask Colocasia has small green leaves with light veining in adolesence. As the plant matures, leaves grow as large a 6 inches and its signature black veins bulge from the surface creating a 3D texture. At maturity, Pharaoh's Mask reaches 4 ft. in height and grows outward producing new plants.

Native to Asia, this plant species was brought to the United States in the 1800s and has been gracing southern gardens ever since.

Propagation of Pharaoh's Mask PPAF is strictly prohibited. We are excited to offer this species on a limited basis as we acquire stock from licensed suppliers.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant growing and shipped in a 4 inch diameter plastic pot. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping.
