Colocasia 'Tea Cup' or Tea Cup Taro is a unique addition to nearly any space. Outdoors, the strong leaves of Tea Cup Taro fill to the brim with rainfall, gradually tilting over as they fill to spill out excess water. This whimsical waterfall feature makes it easy to imagine tiny fairies sitting on the edge of its leaves having their morning tea.

Colocasias are very adaptable plants, Tea Cup Taro can survive in high light conditions and on the borders of shade gardens. They will also thrive with varied moisture levels; place this plant potted plant in a water garden for a gorgeous accent or watch it grow indoors.

Interestingly, this plant does not have to be outdoors to fill its leaves with water! A process called guttation causes the plant to gradually 'weep' water from the surface of its leaves when it has plenty at its roots. With adequate watering, indoor Tea Cup Taro plants will produce the same waterfall effect that they do outdoors... beware their spilling water if placing this beauty indoors!
