Philodendron Brasil is a type of Philodendron hederaceum, also known as Heartleaf Philodendron, that is notable for its variegated foliage. Nicknamed 'Brasil', this variety was named aptly for its close resemblance to the Brazilian Flag. With small delicately heart shaped leaves, this plant is differentiated by elegant, high contrast variegation. Often producing 'half moon' or 'quarter moon' leaves accented by yellowish cream hued variegation, Philodendron Brasil is a perfect choice for low maintenance indoor accenting.

This plant's trailing habit makes it ideal for use in hanging baskets or wandering gracefully down shelves in bright indirect lighting. Philodendrons will produce aerial roots from each of their leaf nodes over time that can be trimmed away for aesthetics or used to encourage growth on upright supports like a stake or moss pole.
