Brugmansia Angels Trumpet Peach White VERSICOLOR SZ 10

Always Free Shipping

The Versicolor Angels Trumpet is an old heirloom Brugmansia that is a large, upright, open growing bush bearing large peach colored trumpets that hang at about a 15º to 30º angle with white throats.

The flowers begin as a pale pastel yellow that changes to white, the pale peach pink, and finishes a darker shade of peach to pink.  It is moderately fragrant at night.

Versicolor is among the most popular and easiest to grow, and is a popular parent plant for hybridizers, and a favorite garden pass-along as cuttings from mature stalks are reasonably easy to root.

Here are a few hints for successful growing within the recommended Zone Range, which is generally considered to be 9, 10, 11 although some sources note that well established plants often freeze to the ground and resprout in colder zones.  Brugmansias can be successfully wintered over indoors with good care and attention.

When danger of frost has passed:

  • Plant in well draining, fertile soil
  • Locate in lightly dappled shade
  • Prune lightly and often for shape when young.
  • Feed a good quality slow release plant food in the spring.
  • Protect from frost and freeze

Caution:  All parts of the Brugmansia are considered  toxic.
