Ida is a complex arborea hybrid developed byTonny Surrow-Hansen and released in 1996 . The pla?nt grows bushy and upright, and fairly quickly and has large pointed oval hand sized deep green leaves.

The flowers of Ida are large and begin as large pastel yellow green toned buds that open into large, nodding recurved translucent creamy white trumpets with a distinctive green center lateral band, and attractive pointed whiskers. The flowers nod over at about a 50 to 60 degree angle rather than hanging vertically. Ida takes some time to become establisehd and reach her full blooming potential, but is well worth the wait, as the when bloom cycles finally begin, they are frequent and long lasting. Highly fragrant flowers open slowly over several weeks and last for several days;

All Brugmansias take time to mature and reach their full blooming potential. Ida is prolific bloomer with a long, repeating bloom cycle.
