This drought resistant evergreen is not really a fern. It is relative of the vegetable type Asparagus. Cat Tail Fern is another common names for the Foxtail Fern. It needs little care and has many versatile uses that will enhance almost any garden. The fronds are bright green all year long, and add interesting shape and texture. Foxtail Fern will thrive in a variety of soil types, does not need pruning, is very drought tolerant once it is well established, and is virtually pest free.

Foxtails can be grown potted indefinitely and can be grown indoors with full spectrum light. It is a very attractive and unique plant with stiff, erect, fluffy fronds that gradually taper toward the ends.
