Raphis excelsa or Lady Palm is one of our favorite indoor plants. These palms are highly tolerant of low light conditions where other species may struggle. They create tropical feel to any location with their shiny dark green fronds. While we often highlight the merits of Lady Palm as an indoor plant, they are also extremely successful outdoors as shade garden accents. When allowed to grow freely these palms can reach upwards of 15 feet, but can be pruned to remain a smaller height as needed.

Raphis Palms are native to China, but no longer exist growing in nature. This species is kept alive by various cultivators across the globe. These palms are also exceptional air purifiers as they are most skilled at eliminating carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, xylene, and ammonia. Many growers place Lady Palms indoors to take advantage of their natural purifying qualities.

Lady Palms are easy to care for. They have moderate watering needs and will require regular watering to look their best.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant growing and shipped in a 4 inch diameter plastic pot. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping.
