Ballerina is an heirloom classic rose introduced in 1937. It is a Hybrid Musk Rose that is easily recognized by its massive sprays of soft pink and white single flowers.

The fragrance is predominately described as 'light', but some gardeners describe as highly fragrant. This difference may be explained by time of day, weather conditions, or just the personal, subjective differences is how we discern fragrance.

This rose reblooms reliably throughout summer when most other roses have put their ambition to rest. It is a relatively compact grower that can be pruned to form a compact shrub or let run to reach 6 to 10 feet as a climber.

Once summer heat sets in, blooming slows down, and foliage tends to thin; abundant small, vibrant red-orange hips are formed.

Many gardeners prefer Musk Roses due to their easy-going nature. They are easy to grow, establish quickly, are resistant to most common problems, and can tolerate more shade than other roses. Landscapes that have proved too shady for other roses might be the perfect place for Musk Roses. They can bloom reliably with as little as 5 hours of full-spectrum light daily.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant w/ 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping. May be shipped bare, wrapped root ball w/o pot.
