A tried and true favorite in subtropical landscapes; Cape Honeysuckle is native to South Africa, blooms with bright scarlet orange clusters of trumpet shaped, nectar filled flowers that are attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.

Blooms year round in sub tropical climates. The common 'honeysuckle' name comes from the similar shape of the flowers. Tecoma is not a honeysuckle and is not fragrant.

Recommended for USDA Zones 8B, 9, 10 11 (Root hardy in Zone 8B when well established)
