Clerondendrum smithianum is a fast growing tropical Perennial with a loose flowing growth habit. It is commonly called Light Bulbs or Chains of Glory. It blooms in hanging red stemmed cascading streamers of individual unique bulb shaped buds with bronze burgundy sepals that open into short lived white tubular shaped single flowers with long stamens tipped with golden pollen. It will mature at about 4 to 5 feet tall, and flowers in cycles from mid to late spring until late Fall. Plants enter a winter resting phase that is not full dormancy, but growth slows and leaves will lose color. Typically the resting phase is triggered when days get shorter and night temps drop below 60.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant with an approximate 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 4 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping.
