Cat Whiskers is a member of the mint family and is native to East Asia.

It makes a great addition to a Southern garden, or as a potted annual in colder climates. The unusual white or lavender flower spikes with their funny whisker'like stamens are a good source of nectar for butterflies and hummingbirds.

The growth habit is shrub like and open, reaching mature heights of 2 to 3feet. The unique flowers appear on new growth as soon as the night time temps begin to warm and the days get a bit longer.

It is versatile and works well as a mass planting, as part of mixed perennial beds, or as a potted plant.

Cat Whiskers is easy to grow, and quick to establish, and requires little maintenance aside from regular pruning and feeding.
