Hemigraphis repanda or Dragons Tongue is a low growing ground cover, with dense tight growth habit. It has very pretty elongated leaves with a crinkled texture in shades of almost black purple, burgundy, maroon, and olive green.

It blooms throughout the warm season with small single white flowers, which are nondescript by themselves, but stand out prettily against the colored foliage.

The fine and delicate stems and low, dense, tight habit making it an excellent choice for ground cover, borders, hanging baskets, window boxes and especially mixed color container gardens.

A lightly shaded location is best. Dragons Breath can be acclimated to grow indoors as a houseplant.
