Brugmansias, or Angel's Trumpets, as they are commonly called, grow up to make large multi stemed semi-trees that bloom in cycles of large, upside down hanging, trumpet shaped flowers. They are easy, very rewarding to grow, and make interesting garden specimen plants, are fragrant at night, and attract hummingbirds, butterflies.

Generally they come in shades of pink, peach, white and yellow, and will bloom a least 2 or 3 times each year.

Painted Lady is hybrid seedling cross from Pink Beauty x Ecuador Pink, developed by Bonnie Vaughn and registered in 2005. It is a tall, upright grower, that will develops into a large tree-like, full, lush bush at 6 -7 feet tall, with large, wide leaves. The large single flowers begin as pure white buds that gradually color to a deep carmine pink and deepen to a bronze, brick, almost red toned pink. The bloom cycles are exceptionally long lasting. The long lived flowers that have a sweet, vanilla scent that lasts until shortly after dawn.
