The Dwarf Allamanda or Allamanda cathcartica compacta Silver Jenny has the same form, growth habit and general characteristics of the Dwarf Allamanda, but has the added attraction of light green silvery colored foliage that adds texture and interest even when not in flower.

It produces same bright, sunny, golden yellow, bell shaped blooms in the early summer to late fall. The flowers are surrounded by small elongated, dense, uniquely colored, silver gray green leathery textured, pointed leaves.

Allamandas have many versatile uses in the subtropical and tropical landscape as a hedge or an accent plant. Its quick growth, bloomability, self sufficiency make it well suited for an annual filler, border or in mixed perennial beds, or as a potted plant in cooler climates.

Allamandas go semi-dormant in the winter months enter a resting phase and do not grow significantly thru the winter. This is a normal characteristic of the species. They have high light needs, but need less water, especially when being over wintered indoors.

Condition: One (1) well-rooted, starter-size plant with an approximate 4-inch-diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 12 inches tall and have no blooms or buds on arrival.
