Pride of Hankins Bush Hibiscus Tropical Plant Triple Hot Fuchsia Salmon Pink Flower Emerald Goddess Gardens TM 4 Inch Pot

Tropical Hibiscus are semi tropical flowering shrubs with perhaps the most variations in bloom color of any plant species.. There are literally thousands, with new hybrids being constantly introduced.

Pride of Hankins is an old heirloom cultivar that has been a popular plant in southern landscapes for more than 50 years. It is also known as Carnation Hibiscus. The plant matures into a strong, vigorous branched bush that has an exceptionally resilient root system and is a frequent choice of graft stock.
.
The flowers are beautiful, showy doubles with a slightly ruffled edge, and very dense, tight doubled, and sometimes triple layers petals, which accounts for the common nick name Carnation. The flowers are vivid, neon, fuchsia to salmon pink with the long yellow stamens that are the hallmark of tropical hibiscus, protruding from darker maroon red throats. The bright color and nectar also attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Pride of Hankins is easy to grow and quick to establish. But takes some time to fully mature and become well established before reaching its full flowering potential. When mature, it blooms throughout the warm season in cycles of profuse flowers rather than the scattered perpetual habit of some other landscape types.
