We call this one 'Pink Splash' because the large, round pink petals, which are actually a type of colored leaf tissue called a 'bract' are splashed and speckled with shades of lighter pink to peach that fades to solid pink as the bracts age.

The Thai Hybrids are rewarding and easy to grow, having many versatile uses as a perennial bedding plant, borders, or can be grown as a potted plant indefinitely. Makes a great gift for a gardener of any skill level.

Plant in coarse, very well-draining soil or potting media. Locate in full sun. Water sparingly and allow plants to drain thoroughly and dry between watering. Feed annually with a good quality, slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer. Protect from frost and freezing. Wear gloves and long sleeves when handling to avoid sticky sap and thorns.

Recommended for growing in Zones 9, 10, and 11. Protection from cold temperatures is required in all Zones for the longest life, best appearance, and earliest flowering. Note that Zone recommendations are based on average temperatures. Successful growing in any Zone is not guaranteed.

Crown of Thorns can be grown indoors in an area with bright, full-spectrum light and warm temperatures. Use coarse, very well-draining potting media and pots with the ability to drain excess water thoroughly and quickly.

Plants offered for sale are commercially produced from cuttings and are not harvested from the wild or obtained from foreign sources. Therefore, they are not subject to any shipping restrictions.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant w/ 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping. May be shipped bare, wrapped root ball w/o pot.
