Minima or Asiatic Jasmines are known for being hardy and resilient. They are low, prostrate-growing shrubs that create flexible, woody, laterally growing stems and branches that spread into a beautifully full ground cover.

Summer Sunset or Salsa Minima Jasmine is a relatively new introduction with unusual, highly variegated colored leaves in a fiery assortment of reds, oranges, creams, and greens while maintaining the favored traits of hardiness and resilience. It can be mass-planted for ground cover, used as filler in mixed beds, or garden pots.

Asiatic Jasmines are prized for the low maintenance requirements, needing only minimal, basic care to grow and thrive, the ability to adapt to full sun or light shade, and moderate drought tolerance once well established. Summer Sunset has higher light requirements than the species to maintain the intense variegated leaf coloration.

This plant is a frequent choice for mass-planting and can be set out as 4-inch starter-sized plants with adequate irrigation and nutritional support until well established. It also makes a great addition or filler in mixed perennial beds and large mixed garden pots. It can be grown indoors, but modifications to increase light levels may be required.

Recommended for outdoor growing in USDA Growing Zones 7, 8, 9, 10.

Condition: One (1) well-rooted, starter-size plant with an approximate 4-inch-diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 12 inches tall and have no blooms or buds on arrival.
