Talinum paniculatum 'Variegatum' or Variegated Jewels of Opar is a unique, hard to find Jewels of Opar cultivar. It can be grown indoors with adequate full spectrum lighting. The variegated cultivar is less common and is not widely available grown commercially.

It is a succulent and has thick fleshy medium green leaves with white variegated margins. It bears tiny dainty little pink flowers on long red stems that are followed by yellow 'jewel' seed pods. It grows dense and full, establishes quickly and is easy to maintain. However, it does not reseed itself as readily as the common green one. This plant makes a great gift for a beginning gardener.
