Passiflora edulis or Possum Purple Passion Vine is a well known and popular passiflora hybrid that is vigorous and easy to grow, and reliable producer of fruit. This species has an interesting historical background as 17th Century priests assigned great religious significance to the unique structure of the flower.

The vine grows lush and dense. The unique flowers appear profusely throughout the warm season in shades of white, cream, and deep purple. A lightly sweet, deep eggplant colored fruit follows the flower.

Possum Purple Passion Flower Vine is among the most popular and easy to grow of the species. It is a fast, vigorous grower that establishes quickly and begins blooming usually in the first season and typically produces fruit easily without hand pollination.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant w/ 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud at the time of shipping. May be shipped bare, wrapped root ball w/o pot.
