Coral Honeysuckle Vine Live Plant Lonceria sempervirens Bright Orange Flowers in Spring Non Invasive Florida Native Starter Sz 4 Inch Pot

Loniceria sempervirens, or Coral Honeysuckle, is native to much of the southern United States and is a beautiful, slender, fast-growing, tendriled vine that blooms in the spring with profuse clusters of coral red trumpet-shaped nectar-rich flowers with yellow throats, and has random scattered flowers throughout the year. It is a non-invasive, fast-growing, easy-care plant that requires little maintenance and tending.

It can be used in many interesting and versatile ways to bring quick cover and color for trellises, fences, or other supports, ot used for ground cover and erosion control for embankments, and other problem areas. Flowers are nectar-rich and a great food source for Hummingbirds and Butterflies, so they are an excellent ecosystem-friendly choice for Butterfly Gardens and Wildlife Habitat areas.

Care: When mature, plant in fertile, well-draining soil or potting media in full sun. Water as needed to maintain consistent soil moisture, but avoid overwatering. Overly saturated plants become spotted, weak, thin, and fail to flower as expected. Feed a good quality, slow-release fertilizer initially and repeat only as needed based on plant appearance. Prune after flowering to control size and shape. Avoid pruning during winter.

Climate: Coral Honeysuckle is moderately cold-tolerant and recommended for USDA Zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Generally well-established plants freeze to the ground and resprout in the Spring in Zones 5, 6, and 7. Elsewhere, it is generally evergreen. Plant early in the season, mulch heavily well ahead of the first frost, and protect from cold until well established.

Condition: One (1) Well rooted, starter size plant with an approximate 4 inch diameter root zone. Plant will be a minimum of about 6 to 8 inches tall and unlikely to have bloom or bud on arrival.

*Limited Conditional Warranty: The warranty is limited to guaranteeing that plants will arrive safely and in good and healthy condition. It is conditioned on Seller receiving prompt notice (within 24 hours of delivery) of any problem with the condition accompanied by photo validation.

No other additional, extended, or long-term Warranty is expressed or implied.
